Seminars Scheduled on Comer Program
April 8, 2003
The African American Festival of Academic Excellence is sponsoring a series of seminars on the Comer School Development Program for parents, community, and educators on Saturday, April 12, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Colesville United Methodist Church. The program will highlight the work of Dr. James P. Comer, renowned professor of child psychiatry at Yale University, and will be presented by School Development Program staff fromYale.
Comer’s School Development Program is a comprehensive approach to school organization and management that provides a structure and process for mobilizing adults to support student development and academic success.
The public is welcome to attend. Those wishing to pre-register may call Dr. Oliver Lancaster at 301-236-4742 or Dr. John Levy at 301-540-4831. There is no charge for the seminars.
