Dr. Jerry D. Weast Arrives at MCPS Monday, August 2, as Transition Continues for New Superintendent

Dr. Jerry D. Weast, newly appointed superintendent of the Montgomery County Public Schools, begins work at the Carver Educational Services Center in Rockville on Monday, August 2.

Dr. Weast's primary interests will focus on various transition issues as he assumes the executive leadership of the school system. He will also focus on meeting individual principals and other staff, touring schools, visiting construction sites, and ensuring continued progress as the school system prepares for the opening of the new school year on September 1.
