Winners have been selected in Montgomery County Public Schools’ (MCPS) fourth annual United We Learn student contest.
The district launched the contest in 2017 with the goal of providing students with a creative, structured opportunity to explore topical issues and learn about the values of respect, diversity and civility. This year’s contest, United We Learn: Innovative Communication Challenge, encouraged students to think about how communication affects their daily lives, and how technology can be used to enhance communication.
Elementary students were challenged to design a webpage that shares information they think is important for people to know about their school. Middle and high school students were challenged to develop an Amazon Alexa skill that shares important information about the school district.
