All of us at Montgomery County Public Schools are deeply concerned about the welfare and well-being of the families affected by the Thursday morning apartment building explosion in Silver Spring.

Working alongside community partners, MCPS will ensure necessary supports are in place for these families. Housing, food and mental health counseling will be available to affected families this evening and in the coming days. MCPS staff will work with families needing assistance as they recover from this event.
