MCPS Graduation Season is Underway / More Than 11,000 Students to Receive Diplomas
The 2022 high school commencement season began June 1 and will continue through June 14. Graduation ceremonies will take place on individual high school campuses, at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C., and on the campuses of Mount St. Mary’s University and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. More than 11,000 students will receive their diplomas.
The ceremonies will include an array of commencement speakers, including TV reporters, politicians, educators, MCPS staff members and representing a variety of professions and interests.
MCPS is also inviting students, parents and staff to submit their favorite graduation snapshots. Families should select the best graduation photo and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org. Families and staff also can submit photos via Twitter (using the hashtag #mcpsgrad). MCPS will repost some of the photos on its social media pages.
