The Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) FY 2008 Special Education Staffing Plan Committee is holding three work sessions to review the FY 2007 Special Education Staffing Plan; receive information regarding the FY 2008 MCPS budget, enrollment projections, and anticipated special education program needs; receive public input; and make recommendations for priority improvements to be considered for the FY 2008 budget.

The committee will meet in room 114 at Carver Educational Services Center, 850 Hungerford Drive, Rockville, Maryland 20850, on:

• Monday, June 5, 2006, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Wednesday, June 28, 2006, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Public Comments
• Thursday, July 6, 2006, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Public Comments

All three meetings are open to the public, but the committee will receive public comments regarding the FY 2008 Special Education Staffing Plan only at the meeting on June 28.

Individuals who wish to provide input to the committee should contact Barbara Haste by calling 301-279-3166 to sign up for a three-minute time slot for the June 28 meeting. Individuals who provide oral comments should bring a written summary to submit at the meeting.
