Stephen L. Johnson, administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), is scheduled to visit students at Spark M. Matsunaga Elementary School on Friday, June 9, at 9:30 a.m. The school is located at 13902 Bromfield Road in Germantown.

Matsunaga Elementary School participates in the EPA Asian American and Pacific Islander Outreach Program that fosters partnerships between schools in the United States and abroad. Mr. Johnson recently visited Matsunaga’s partner school, Haixiwan Elementary School, in China and will speak with students about the visit. He also will talk with Grade 5 students about their Environmental Club activities and how the two schools are sharing ideas on ways to protect the environment.
