Parents Invited to Explore Summer Opportunities for Children

January 30, 2009
Looking for something fun and educational for your child to do this summer? Parents are invited to come explore summer opportunities on Thursday, Feb. 12, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Richard Montgomery High School. More than 35 local and regional providers are expected to attend to present dozens of choices for summer camps, programs and activities for students in kindergarten through Grade 12.

At the event, presented by the MCPS Parent Academy, parents and students can meet program staff, pick up applications and get information on financial assistance. Opportunities will be available in a variety of areas: academic, drama/music/visual arts, gifted and talented, sports and recreation and college prep. Program costs vary.

Richard Montgomery is located at 250 Richard Montgomery Drive in Rockville. More information on the fair is available on the Department of Family and Community Partnerships website at
