Town Meetings, Multicultural Forums to Offer Feedback Opportunities on 'Our Call to Action' Educational Initiatives

Superintendent Jerry D. Weast will host a series of town meetings and multicultural forums across Montgomery County for staff and for community members in October and November.

The meetings are designed to stimulate open discussion and dialogue. Feedback and suggestions about the MCPS educational initiatives in "Our Call to Action" are solicited.

The following town meetings will be held for staff from 4-6 p.m. and for community members from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Dates, clusters and locations are listed.

-Monday, October 2: Damascus, Gaithersburg, Magruder, Watkins Mill-at Watkins Mill High School

-Monday, October 16: Blair, Einstein, Kennedy-at Montgomery Blair High School

-Thursday, October 19: Northeast Consortium, Sherwood-at James Hubert Blake High School

-Wednesday, October 25: Churchill, Richard Montgomery, Rockville, Wootton-at Richard Montgomery High School

-Monday, November 6: Bethesda-Chevy Chase, Walter Johnson, Wheaton, Whitman-at Walter Johnson High School

-Thursday, November 9: Northwest, Quince Orchard, Seneca Valley, Poolesville at Northwest High School

In addition, three multicultural forums are scheduled. All will be held from 7-9 p.m.

-Monday, November 20: Montgomery Blair High School (Spanish-speaking interpreters available.)

-Wednesday, November 29: Gaithersburg High School (Spanish-speaking interpreters available.)

-Thursday, November 30: Fallsmead Elementary School (Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean interpreters available)
