Montgomery County Board of Education student member Christopher Lloyd is one of two finalists for student member of the Maryland State Board of Education for the 2001-2002 school year.

The Maryland Association of Student Councils on February 3 selected Lloyd, a junior at John F. Kennedy High School, and Lauren McAlee from Anne Arundel County as the two nominees for the position. Earlier, a committee selected five candidates who ran for the position at the legislative session.

Names of the two finalists have been sent to Governor Parris Glendening for final appointment.
