A revised policy (EEA) on student transportation has been tentatively adopted for community comment by the Board of Education. The members of the Board of Education would like to receive any reaction or comments individuals may have on the revised policy.

The policy delineates the service and safety guidelines for transporting public and nonpublic school students in Montgomery County. The revisions would modify language under eligibility for transportation and the factors and standards for determining transportation safety and walking conditions.

Individuals may respond in writing by August 17, 2001, with comments about the revised policy. All responses should be sent to the Office of the Superintendent of Schools, 850 Hungerford Drive, Rockville, Maryland 20850. Responses will be shared with the Board of Education.
