All athletic contests of the Montgomery County Public Schools were suspended for beginning Friday, September 14, and for the entire weekend in response to the national remembrances for the victims of the terrorist attacks earlier in the week.

The suspension included all interscholastic sports programs at each of the school system’s 23 high schools. Practices and athletic meetings continued on an individual school basis, as appropriate. The athletic contest schedule resumed the following week.
