Study Circles on Student Achievement to Present Conclusions

December 7, 2001
Students, parents and community leaders in the Montgomery Blair, Albert Einstein, John F. Kennedy, and Wheaton clusters have spent the last several months engaging in study circles to discover ways to improve student academic achievement. The results of their discussions will be presented at an action forum that is open to the public.

Ideas will be shared with an audience that is scheduled to include members of the Board of Education, the Superintendent of Schools, the County Council, the County Executive, and other business and community leaders. Priorities will be identified from the many ideas generated during the study circle process, and task forces are planned to act on these ideas.
