Ms. Wolff requested communication to schools reminding them about timely responses to family and community emails.

Question#: 11

ANSWER:

Amidst the recovery from the COVID-19 health pandemic, the ongoing mental health crisis affecting our community, and the growing anticipation of the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) response to the Antiracist System Audit, it is more important than ever that we provide prompt and accurate information to our families and community members. To ensure that our communication with the community is transparent and responsive, we must take extra care to respond to community inquiries within 24–48 hours. In a weekly principals’ letter from Deputy Superintendent Patrick K. Murphy on January 27, 2023, all principals were reminded of the importance of timely responses to family and community inquiries to help alleviate concerns, keeping everyone informed, and demonstrating MCPS’ commitment to equity and transparency.
