ANSWER:

The Office of Systemwide Safety and Emergency Management (OSSEM) has piloted and will be implementing several safety infrastructure and technology enhancements, including Vape Detectors, Student ID badges, school cameras, and the upcoming Centegix alert system. For FY 2024, there were ten security assistant positions added to the budget at a cost of $515,550, to provide additional support at the middle and high schools.
