EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Interprets and implements prearranged computer schedules of production runs. 2. Powers the computer servers and related equipment up or down, inspects run package and loads tapes or, disks or cards; processes run observing computer monitor for messages and status reports. 3. Refers to technical reference manuals for the purpose of understanding computer operation and taking appropriate steps to correct malfunctions. 4. Operates the computer server consoles utilizing queue management and other techniques to expedite production jobs and/or user oriented systems. 5. Describes hardware/software malfunctions to shift supervisor, hardware engineers, and/or technical support staff. 6. Maintains awareness of changes in all operational techniques and areas relevant to an efficient and economical operation. 7. Observes rules and guidelines established by management for a secure, safe, and orderly facility. 8. Performs related work as required.
