Dear MCPS Community, 

The Montgomery County Board of Education extends warm holiday greetings to our students, families and employees. 

We are amazed by the enduring strength, resilience and empathy our community has shown throughout this incredibly difficult year. This period of virtual learning while living through the COVID-19 pandemic has been challenging for all of us. We will persevere in the hope that 2021 will be a better year for everyone. 

Our hope for the coming year is that MCPS students will be able to return to school buildings as safely and as quickly as possible. We will, in time, return to a level of normalcy and take lessons learned during these trying times to continuously improve our school system. We have a great deal to be thankful for and we want to offer you a heartfelt thank you for all you do to support the students of Montgomery County Public Schools.
