Summer School Transportation

Dear MCPS Summer School Families,

Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) is excited to provide transportation services for students in all of our summer programs. Over 600 bus routes will serve thousands of students at more than 175 schools and other program sites.  

Currently, we are able to fully staff all routes for students needing a ride to their summer program. While the priority is to uphold this commitment to safely transport students, staffing remains a challenge and will be monitored daily. Our staffing is very tight in the summertime and unexpected disruptions, such as staff illness, may result in an uncovered route.

If any bus routes are disrupted, information will be posted on the main MCPS website between 4:30–5 p.m. daily before the next instructional day.
