CTBS/CAT Results 2003: Grade 2

Description:

Results from the spring 2003 administration of the nationally normed TerraNova Comprehensive Tests of Basic Skills (CTBS) reveal that Grade 2 students in the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) continue to perform well above the national average in reading, language, and mathematics. 2003 performance levels matched those of 2002 in every subject area, while improving the median national percentile rank on the Mathematics Computation subtest to the 83rd percentile. Students maintained results in reading, language, mathematics, and language mechanics, scoring at or above the 64th percentile for the third consecutive year.
