Study of Teacher Workforce in Montgomery County Public Schools

Description:

This report examines: 1) the characteristics of teachers in the 2017–2018 school year as well as the characteristics of newly-hired teachers, 2) the rates of teacher attrition and position vacancies for the 2017–2018 school year and previous school years; and 3) the status and trends observed for MCPS compared with those of Maryland and the nation to provide a wider context for the findings.
