The 21st Century Community Learning Centers Program (21st CCLC) in Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) provides cultural arts and recreational activities to students during out-of-school times at ten Title I schools. Academic performance and attendance at a morning academic program were used to evaluate outcomes for the students attending 21st CCLC; the findings suggest that the program is successfully addressing its major goals, as well as satisfying both parents and the artists who teach in the program.
