EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Controls daily update of new data into the FIS and older system, including interface input from other business systems; determines daily work activity, assigns and reviews work, shifts workloads as necessary and determines priorities.2. Resolves data entry problems such as over expenditure of funds, unusual activity, transaction rejects and system problems.3. Resolves data input problems arising from system failures and human error.4. Monitors accounting controls over daily activity.5. Ensures that database account maintenance is continuously updated. Controls access to the FIS by accounting staff and other operating units.6. Prepares program processing instructions for nightly processing.7. Schedules and controls month-end closing procedures.8. Develops specifications for technical data processing staff to make systems design changes; debugging FIS functions.9. Prepares written procedures for unit.10. Trains staff in FIS functions.11. Edits and corrects system documentation.12. Participates in discussions regarding FIS status reviews, implementation progress and future plans.13. Performs related work as required.
