The public is invited to submit nominations for the Excellence in the Arts & Humanities Awards 2003.

Montgomery County annually recognizes outstanding artists, scholars, patrons, educators, and volunteers who have made significant contributions to the arts and humanities in the county through dedication to artistic and scholarly excellence, education and service, or exemplary patronage.

Excellence in the Arts and Humanities Awards will be given in five categories:

§ Arts and Humanities in Education Award for Excellence
§ Arts and Humanities in Community Award for Excellence
§ Corporate Patron of the Arts and Humanities Award for Excellence
§ Arts and Humanities Volunteer Award for Excellence
§ Achievement in the Arts and Humanities Award for Excellence

Nomination forms may be obtained online at the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County’s web site, www.creativemoco.com, or by contacting the council at 301-215-7227 voice, 301-215-7118 fax or ball@creativemoco.com.

Deadline for nominations is Friday, October 17, at 5:00 p.m. Submit nominations to Excellence in the Arts and Humanities Awards 2003, c/o Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County, 4405 East-West Highway, Suite 401, Bethesda, MD 20814.

The awards will be announced at the Executive’s Ball for the Benefit of the Arts and Humanities, to be held Monday, December 8, at 7:30 p.m. at Indian Spring Country Club in Silver Spring.
