A new annual report for Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) has been published and distributed to staff and the community. The 2003 Annual Report to Parents, Staff, and the Community provides an overview of the academic progress of schools and the initiatives under way to continue building the school system’s capacity for student success.

Among the highlights of the report are a summary of ongoing efforts to strengthen curriculum and assessment; current data on student achievement gains on national, state and local assessments; and an update on staff development and leadership initiatives. Among other topics, the report features information on parent and community partnerships, enrollment, school construction, and budget efficiencies.
