A rally to support full funding of the Thornton Bridge to Excellence in Public Schools Act will be held in Annapolis on Monday, January 26, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The rally will begin at the stadium parking lot on Rowe Boulevard in Annapolis with a march to the rally site where there will be a number of prominent speakers.

The rally, which is being organized by the Coalition for Public School Funding, welcomes the participation of parents, educators and all interested community members and leaders. Sponsoring organizations in Montgomery County include the Montgomery County Education Association (MCEA), the Montgomery County Council of Supporting Services Employees (MCCSSE), the Montgomery County Association of Administrative and Supervisory Personnel (MCAASP), the Montgomery County Council of Parent Teacher Associations (MCCPTA), and the Montgomery County Board of Education.

These organizations are planning car pools or bus transportation. Participants may choose to ride one of the MCPS school buses that will leave from each high school at 4:15 p.m. Call one of the following numbers to make reservations for transportation or for more information about the rally and march.
