The Montgomery County Board of Education will vote on its appointment of the superintendent of schools during its Feb. 8 meeting. The appointment is contingent upon contract negotiations and approval by the state superintendent of schools.

Following the vote, Board members and the appointed superintendent will hold a media briefing.

The Board meeting begins at 9:00 a.m. The media briefing is expected to begin at 9:30 a.m.

The briefing will be held in Room 134 of the Carver Educational Services Center in Rockville.
