Ibrahima (Baba) Cisse, a junior at Albert Einstein High School, and Arvin Kim, a junior at Walt Whitman High School, are the two finalists for the 45th Student Member of the Board. Elections will be held on April 20. 

More than 400 students attended the SMOB nominating convention on Feb. 16, which was held in a hybrid format. Sixteen candidates from across Montgomery County Public Schools gave speeches about their interests and platforms. Eight candidates were selected by first-round ballot to continue in a second round where they participated in a question-and-answer period. Students elected Mr. Cisse and Mr. Kim as finalists.
