Media Advisory: MCPS to Name Teacher of the Year at Champions for Children Event
The Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) 2022-2023 Teacher of the Year will be announced on Monday, April 24 during the annual Champions for Children celebration at BlackRock Center for the Arts. The event honors the exceptional work of educators, staff, and community partners who make a difference in the lives of children every day. The winner would be in the running for Maryland Teacher of the Year.
WHAT: Champions for Children Awards Celebration, including the announcement of the 2022-2023 MCPS Teacher of the Year
WHEN: Monday, April 24, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
WHERE: BlackRock Center for the Arts, 12901 Town Commons Drive, Germantown, MD 20874
WHO: Award winners and nominees; MCPS leadership scheduled to speak.

There will also be musical performances by The Singing Colonels, Col. Zadok Magruder High School and NBC4 news anchor Jummy Olabanji will serve as emcee of the event.
