Investigation of Misconduct by Senior MCPS Officials

The Montgomery County Board of Education issues the following statement in response to the Montgomery County Office of Inspector General January 10, 2024 report on the investigation into allegations of employee misconduct.  The investigation report can be found here.

The Board of Education was made aware of an individual complaint that was then sent to the Office of the Inspector General.  The Board appreciates the Office of the Inspector General’s quick investigation, findings and recommendations.  The Board takes complaints and allegations very seriously and will act upon the common-sense policy recommendations offered. 

As we coordinate and oversee the implementation of the recommendations that have and will be coming forward, the Board is committed to strengthening the school system to ensure that all staff, students and families have confidence that when they have a complaint, concern or issue it will be addressed quickly and appropriately.
