Montgomery County Public Schools to Host Student Skills Clinics Ahead of Inaugural Girls’ Flag Football Season, in Partnership with the Baltimore Ravens
Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) Athletics is excited to pilot girls’ flag football as a varsity sport in the Fall 2024 season. MCPS has partnered with the Baltimore Ravens and Under Armour to bring this sport to all 25 public high schools in Montgomery County as part of a state-wide initiative.
MCPS and the Ravens will host a coaches clinic on Monday, June 3 and skills clinics for students on June 4, 5 and 6 to build momentum and continue growth heading into the summer. On Wednesday, June 5, members of the media are welcome to attend the skills clinic to hear from and speak with representatives from MCPS and the Ravens.
WHAT: Local media are invited to a “Media Day” at a girls’ flag football skills clinic hosted by MCPS and with support from the Baltimore Ravens. Members of the media are welcome to interview students and representatives and capture video and photos
WHEN: Wednesday, June 5, 2024, 5:30 p.m. A brief press conference will begin at approximately 5:45 p.m.
