Comment Sought on Two Board of Education Policies

ROCKVILLE, MD—The Board of Education has requested community comment regarding two Board of Education policies that were tentatively approved by the Board on October 11, 2011. The policies are:

· Policy ECM, Joint Occupancy of Montgomery County Public Schools Facilities, which sets forth the criteria for joint occupancy of Montgomery County Public Schools facilities; and

· Policy KGC, Child Care, which affirms the importance of high quality child care and education settings for all children of Montgomery County. It establishes the scope of Montgomery County Public Schools’ role in partnering with the child care community in addressing child care needs.

Individuals who wish to provide comments on these policies should respond in writing by Thursday, December 29, 2011. All responses should be sent to the Office of the Superintendent of Schools, 850 Hungerford Drive, Room 122, Rockville, Maryland 20850. The responses will be shared with the members of the Board of Education.
