MEDIA ADVISORY: Board of Education to Vote on FY 2013 Operating Budget Tuesday

The Montgomery County Board of Education will vote on its Fiscal Year 2013 Operating Budget request TOMORROW, Tuesday, February 14, 2012. The Board received Superintendent of Schools Joshua P. Starr’s $2.13 billion budget recommendation on December 7, 2011 and has spent the past two months reviewing Dr. Starr’s request and hearing from the public. The Board will submit its final budget request to the Montgomery County Executive and the Montgomery County Council for consideration.

What: Montgomery County Board of Education vote on a Fiscal Year 2013 Operating Budget request for Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS)

When: Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at 10 a.m.
- Note: The budget is expected to be voted on at 11:30 a.m. but the actual time will depend on how quickly the Board moves through its meeting agenda.

Where: Carver Educational Services Center, 850 Hungerford Drive, in Rockville, in the Board of Education Meeting Room.
