MEDIA ADVISORY: Press Availability Monday (5/21) with Supt. Starr, Employee Association Leaders

Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) Superintendent Joshua P. Starr and leaders from the district’s three employee associations will hold a media availability on TOMORROW Monday, May 21 at 10:30 a.m. to discuss a preliminary settlement on a contract for Fiscal Year 2013. Negotiations have been taking place for months with the Montgomery County Education Association (MCEA), the Service Employees International Union Local 500 (SEIU) and the Montgomery County Association of Administrators and Principals (MCAAP). The completion of negotiations was delayed by uncertainty surrounding the state budget, which was resolved last week.

Details about the outcome of negotiations will be sent out Monday morning prior to the media availability.
