Board of Education to Meet on Thursday, November 7
November 6, 2013
The Montgomery County Board of Education will hold a work session on Thursday, November 7, 2013, at the Carver Educational Services Center, 850 Hungerford Drive in Rockville. During the meeting, the Board of Education will review and discuss Superintendent Joshua P. Starr’s Recommended Fiscal Year (FY) 2015 Capital Budget and FY 2015-2020 Capital Improvements Program (CIP). The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. and will be broadcast live on the MCPS website and on MCPS TV (Comcast Channel 34). The agenda with related attachments can be found on

On Monday, November 11 and Thursday, November 14, the Board of Education will hold public hearings on the CIP. The hearings will be held in the auditorium of the Carver Educational Services Center and will begin at 7 p.m. For more information about the hearings, please visit the

The Board is expected to approve a CIP request during a meeting on Monday, November 18, which begins at 6 p.m. Once approved, the CIP request will be submitted to the Montgomery County Executive and County Council for consideration.
