The Board of Education met today [Tuesday, May 13] and approved the following appointments of nine principals:

* Michael D. Bayewitz, currently principal intern at North Chevy Chase Elementary School, as principal of Luxmanor Elementary School.

* Elaine L. Chang, currently principal intern at Capt. James E. Daly Elementary School, as principal of Lakewood Elementary School.

* Linda Goldberg, currently interim principal of Potomac Elementary School, as principal.

* Jean Haven, currently coordinator of the Professional Growth System in the Office of Human Resources, as principal of Takoma Park Middle School.

* Dr. Barbara A. Jasper, currently interim principal of Clopper Mill Elementary School, as principal of Sequoyah Elementary School.

* Keith R. Jones, currently principal intern at College Gardens Elementary School, as principal of Summit Hall Elementary School.

* Raymond Myrtle, currently acting principal of Lucy V. Barnsley Elementary School, as principal.

* Roni Silverstein, currently principal intern at Ronald McNair Elementary School, as principal of Clopper Mill Elementary School.

* Kenneth C. Williams, currently principal intern at Sherwood Elementary School, as principal of Damascus Elementary School.
