School principals, parents, and other community members will join Superintendent Jerry D. Weast, Student Board of Education Member Sagar Sanghvi, County Executive Douglas Duncan, Acting Chief of Police William O’Toole, and other officials to introduce the new Educational Facilities Officers (EFOs).

The event will take place on Tuesday, August 12, at 11 a.m. in the cafeteria of Walter Johnson High School.

The EFOs are part of a new program to enhance emergency preparedness, foster positive relationships among members of the school community, and strengthen lines of communication between the school system and public safety agencies.
