Superintendent of Schools Jerry D. Weast will present his recommended operating budget for Fiscal Year 2005 to the Board of Education on Wednesday, December 10, 2003, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of Montgomery Blair High School at 51 University Boulevard, East, in Silver Spring.

“Our continuing challenge is to maintain the investment in a quality education program by ensuring that we support our teachers, principals, and support staff through a well-funded operating budget,” said Dr. Weast in inviting principals, other staff, PTA leaders, community representatives, and elected officials to the public presentation. "Your participation is a key element of the budget process.”

The community presentation, which will focus on the academic performance and fiscal needs of the Montgomery County Public Schools, is open to the public.
