A Preferred Choice Information Meeting for families of Grade 8 students who acurrently are enrolled in private schools and reside in the Northeast Consortium and Downcounty Consortium attendance areas will be held at the Spring Mill Field Office, 11721 Kemp Mill Road in Silver Spring.

The meeting for Northeast Consortium parents and students will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2003, at 7:00 p.m. The meeting for Downcounty Consortium parents and students will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2003, at 7:00 p.m.
The presentations will include an overview of the signature programs at the Northeast Consortium high schools on Wednesday and the academy programs in the Downcounty Consortium high schools on Thursday. The Preferred Choice student assignment process also will be explained.

Following the presentations, private school students will have an opportunity to enroll in the Preferred Choice Process for the 2004-2005 school year. Appointments are required to participate in the enrollment process following the information meeting. To make an appointment for enrollment on December 3 for the Northeast Consortium or on December 4 for the Downcounty Consortium, parents must call the Consortium Office at 301-649-8081.
