All afternoon and evening student and community activities in the Montgomery County Public Schools have been canceled for today, Tuesday, January 27, because of continued emergency weather conditions.

The cancellation includes all student athletic and extracurricular activities, as well as community activities in schools. The decision was made in conjunction with Montgomery County's Interagency Coordinating Board for the Use of Public Facilities.

Schools and offices will remain open today for employees. Private day care centers in schools also may remain open.
