Students Win Awards for Video Productions

James Hubert Blake High School won three awards in The Communicator Awards 2003 Video Competition.

Representing the Blake Video and Digital Arts and Production departments, senior Nick Piegari won a Crystal Award of Excellence in the Creativity and Special Effects category for "Summer Institute 2003," a composite video using digital animation.

The student producers of Blake's "Summer Institute 2003" video received a Crystal Award of Excellence for overall production in the K-12 category.

The third award, in the same category, was an Honorable Mention for Blake's advanced television student production, "Music Piracy."

The Communicator Awards is an international awards competition that recognizes outstanding work in the communications field. This is the third consecutive year that Blake students have won awards.
