Two finalists for student member of the Board of Education were chosen on March 11 by 243 voting middle and high school delegates attending the Student Member of the Board of Education (SMOB) Nominating Convention.
The two final candidates are Amanda Lee, a junior at Montgomery Blair High School, and Sagar Sanghvi, a junior at Col. Zadok Magruder High School and the current student Board member. The finalists were chosen from a field of nine candidates at the convention hosted by Northwest High School's student government.
On Wednesday, April 28, 2004, all MCPS secondary students will have the opportunity to vote for one of the two candidates to serve as their twenty-seventh student representative on the Board of Education.
