A Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) unit and a school system business partner received two of the 2004 Awards of Excellence presented by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) on June 2 to honor career and technology education.

The MCPS Career and Technology Education Team was named Outstanding Change Agent-Secondary. The Outstanding Business Partnership-Secondary award went to the Montgomery County Teachers Federal Credit Union.

The awards, from MSDE's Division of Career Technology and Adult Learning, honor individuals, programs, and businesses for outstanding performance in secondary and postsecondary career and technology education.
