The deadline for application to the Center Program for the Highly Gifted has been extended to Monday, December 12, 2005. Parents of children currently in Grade 3 who are interested in submitting their child's application for the Center Program must complete the application and return it to their child's school by the deadline. Only students who have returned the application to the school will be tested and considered for the program.

Applications to the Center Program for the Highly Gifted were mailed directly to all parents of Grade 3 students. Parents who did not receive an application in the mail may obtain one at the office of their child's school or call the school to have the application sent to them.

The application also may be downloaded from the MCPS Web site. The packet is available on the Web site in French, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese, as well as English.

Students will be tested at school during January and February. In the next few weeks, parents will be notified of the testing date and time at their child's school.
