Superintendent Jerry D. Weast will present his recommended operating budget for Fiscal Year 2007 on Wednesday, December 14, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The presentation will be held at Rockville High School.

Foreign language interpretation services will be available in Spanish, French, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, and Amharic. American Sign Language interpreters also will be available. Free child care will be offered for children ages 4 to 12.

The presentation will be followed by public hearings on the budget request on January 12 and 19, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium of the Carver Educational Services Center in Rockville. Beginning on December 22, individuals can register to speak at the public hearings by calling 301-279-3617.

Public work sessions will be held on January 25 and January 26 beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Board Meeting Room of the Carver Educational Services Center. The adoption of the budget is scheduled for Tuesday, February 14, at 10:00 a.m. in the Board Meeting Room.
