John Q. Porter to Participate in Broad Academy

John Q. Porter, Montgomery County Public Schools deputy superintendent for information and organizational systems, has been selected as a member of the 2006 cohort of The Broad Superintendent's Academy. The academy is an executive management program offered through The Broad Center for the Management of School Systems.

Porter is one of 17 individuals selected from among 275 qualified applicants.

The executive management program offers a 10-month curriculum, with weekend training sessions, designed to prepare current senior executives for leadership in urban public school systems.
