Nominees Sought for Twelfth Annual
Distinguished Service to Public Education

The Montgomery County Board of Education is seeking nominations from the public for its Twelfth Annual Awards for Distinguished Service to Public Education and is extending the deadline until August 1, 2008 for the submission of nominations. The awards are sponsored by the Board to recognize and show appreciation to individuals (including students), groups, and organizations that have made exemplary contributions to public education in Montgomery County.

“We encourage members of the community to submit a nomination to acknowledge those individuals and organizations that often work outside of the limelight to contribute their time and talent to supporting our children and public education,” says Nancy Navarro, Board of Education president.
Nominations will be accepted in the following categories:
•community individual
•community group
•Montgomery County Public Schools staff
