UPDATED: Board of Education Postpones Budget Worksessions to Feb. 8

The Montgomery County Board of Education budget worksessions planned for today, Wednesday, Jan. 26, and tomorrow, Thursday, Jan. 27, have been postponed due to current and expected weather conditions.

The Board of Education will hold an all-day budget worksession on Tuesday, Feb. 8, beginning at 10 a.m.

The Board, which was expected to approve a FY 2012 budget recommendation on February 8, will now approve a budget proposal on Monday, Feb. 14 at 12:30 p.m. The Board's budget recommendation must be submitted to the County Executive and the County Council on March 1.

Details about the February 8 worksession and the February 14 meeting are being finalized and will be announced soon on the MCPS website.
