MEDIA ADVISORY: Superintendent Starr to Present Budget and Priorities

Superintendent of Schools Joshua P. Starr will present his Fiscal Year (FY) 2013 Operating Budget recommendation for Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) on Wednesday, Dec. 7, at 7:30 p.m. At the presentation, Dr. Starr will not only review the highlights of his budget recommendation, but will discuss what he has learned during his first months as Superintendent of Schools and will identify the district’s strategic areas of focus for the coming year. Since beginning his tenure at MCPS, Dr. Starr has engaged thousands of staff, students, parents and community members through a variety of events, meetings and conversations. This work has helped Dr. Starr develop his budget recommendation, as well as identify the areas of focus for FY 2013.
