Board of Education Appoints Public Policy Advocate for Children's Issues as the New Legislative Aide for the School System
Rogovin, who will begin her position with the school system on September 7, has worked since 1992 with the Maryland Committee for Children to effect policy decisions on issues such as child care, early childhood education, children's health, and child abuse and neglect. Previously, she was a lobbyist on federal issues, representing the American Counseling Association and the American Association of University Women.
Rogovin is a graduate of the University of Michigan and received a master of social work degree from the Catholic University of America. She is a resident of Silver Spring and has a child attending a Montgomery County Public Schools elementary school.
