Community Invited to Share Thoughts on MCPS Strategic Plan

The community is invited to offer input on the future of Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) as the system works to revise its strategic plan.

A community meeting on the MCPS strategic plan will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 6:30–8:30 p.m., in the Carver Educational Services Center auditorium, 850 Hungerford Dr. in Rockville.

The existing strategic plan, Our Call to Action: Pursuit of Excellence, has been the foundation of the district’s school improvement efforts for more than a decade. A communitywide Network Team is working to revise the plan so it reflects the knowledge and skills needed for MCPS students to be successful in the 21st century. Participants in the March 5 meeting will be asked to share their thoughts and ideas in the areas of academics, creative problem-solving skills, and social and emotional competencies.
